Jose Aguilar, age 65. Passed away August 17, 2017 at home. The son of the late Jose and Oralia (Cruz) Aguilar, Jose was born February 24, 1952 in Adrian, Michigan.  He married the former Mary Dashkovitz on February 28, 1970 and she preceded him in death on February 3, 2017.  Jose was employed as an auto mechanic prior to his retirement.  He was of the Catholic Faith, and enjoyed hunting, Fishing, being outdoors, cooking for family events and going to the casino.

Surviving are 5 children, Joe (Sylvia) Aguilar, Michael (Chris) Aguilar, Juan Godinez, Jennifer (Doug) Dey, and Cassie Flores; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Sam and Tony Aquilar; and 5 sisters, Ernestina (Mario) Rivera, Elsie Meza, Olga Olivarez, Theresa Curtis, and Margaret (Les) Butler, and a close friend Robert Strickland.

Jose was preceded in death by 3 brothers-in-law, Valentino Meza, Isidro Martinez, and Robert Curtis.

Funeral Service will take place 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave. in Saginaw with Rev. Fr. Joseph Schabel officiating.  Interment will follow at St. Andrew Cemetery.  Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until time of service.
