Maria Alcala of Saginaw passed away April 29, 2017 at Covenant Healthcare following an extended illness. The former Maria Palomares was born February 11, 1955 in Mexico.  She married Florentino Alcala in 1976 in Saginaw, he survives her.

Maria was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed going to the casino when she had free time.

Surviving are her husband, 1 daughter Patricia (Reginald) Dillon, 2 sons, Daniel Marin, Benjamin (Amy) Alcala; 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; and 9 siblings also survive.

Memorial Service will take place on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave, Saginaw.  Friends may visit with the family on Thursday at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until time of service.
