Paul J. Alvarado of Saginaw passed away April 7, 2017 at Covenant Healthcare after an extended illness at the age of 72 years.  He was born October 2, 1944 in Saginaw to the late Joseph and Juanita (Perez) Alvarado.  He had been employed by General Motors for several years prior to his retirement.  Paul was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.  He liked playing pool, singing, and enjoyed his dog.

He is survived by his son Richard (Tiffany Culver) Alvarado; and his siblings, a sister Rose (Alfredo) Gomez, and 4 brothers, Rudy Alvarado, Joseph (Martha) Alvarado, Freddy (Helen) Alvarado, Robert (Virginia) Alvarado; 4 granddaughters, and 2 grandsons, and several great-grandchildren.

His son Paul Alvarado preceded him in death.

Funeral Service will take place 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Frank Voris officiating.  Friends may visit with the family at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
