Rochelle “Rocky” Artecki, age 86 of Saginaw passed away January 16, 2024, at her son’s home in Beaverton, Michigan. Daughter of the late Leonard and Margaret Brookman, Rocky was born March 5, 1937, in Saginaw and was a 1955 graduate of Saginaw High School. She was married to Chester Artecki, and he preceded her in death. She was employed by Consumers Power Co. and later as a salesclerk for a Saginaw Pharmacy prior to her retirement. Rocky was a member of the American Legion Post 22 and the Kosciuszko Club where she served as a Bartender for 25 years.

She enjoyed listening to Country Music, dancing, spending time with her family, vacationing in the Upper Peninsula, and going to the Casino.

Surviving are 2 children, Diane (Robert) Bock and Dean (Trisha Blossey) Smith, one stepson Jeff Artecki, grandson, Brian (Norene) Bock, great-grandchildren, Ceciel Bock, Megan and Lane Troutman, great-great-grandchildren, Nova, Jay Jay, Aurora, Lilly, Liam, and Morgan.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Anthony J. Bock, great grandson Demetrius Bock, and a special friend, Clyde “Ziggy” Rogers.

She also leaves behind special friends Kathy Kienitz, and Ines Novak.

The family extends a special thank you to The Care Team Hospice and to Dean Smith, Trisha Blossey, and Haily Barth for taking Rocky into Dean’s home during her last illness.

A Memorial Service will take place at a later date.
