Ardelle D. Kohlhoff, age 83, passed away December 4, 2018 at Covenant HealthCare, following a brief illness. The daughter of the late Bert and Louise (Fischer) Golden, Ardelle was born June 25, 1935 in Saginaw. She was a 1953 graduate of Arthur Hill High School. Ardelle married Donald W. Kohlhoff on March 17, 1956 in Saginaw and he preceded her in death on February 15, 2009. Ardelle was a member of Barnard Reach Community Church. She served the Lord faithfully and was an inspiration to so many. She was a Sunday school Teacher for several years and had a passion for leading children to Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Ardelle was also a homemaker and opened her home and heart to anyone who needed it. She was a past president of Hemlock Schools P.T.A. She enjoyed reading her Bible and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved gardening, especially tending to her beautiful roses. She also enjoyed canning and preserving from her vegetable garden and cross stitching.
Surviving are seven children; Janelle Kohlhoff, Rebecca (Wesley Wade) Thomas, Donald (Jayne) Kohlhoff Jr., Roger Kohlhoff, Paul (Lynda) Kohlhoff, Brad Kohlhoff, and Julie (Scott) Nigl.
9 grandchildren; Eric (Reshon McKinney) Geyer, Brandon (Beth Wise) Geyer, Douglas Kohlhoff, Allyson (Daniel Philaja) Thomas, Trevor Thomas, Dane Kohlhoff, Heather (Ryan) Schlicker, Emily and Jacob Nigl.
Great grandchildren; Isaiah Geyer, Benjamin Geyer, Hayle Schlicker, Cole Schlicker, Hannah Geyer, Taylor Geyer, Noah Kohlhoff, and Serena Philaja.
3 sisters; Lois (Tom) Hogg, Jerri (Bob) Peterson, and Bonnie Thompson.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 am Monday at Cederberg & Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave. in Saginaw. Pastors Kenneth Hogg and Rob Troutman will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 pm to 5 pm and on Monday from 10 am until time of service.
