Betty Ann Lopez passed away January 3, 2018 at Covenant Healthcare at the age of 85 years.

The daughter of the late Edward and Doris Draheim, Betty was born February 9, 1932 in Flint, Michigan.

After graduation from Clio High School in 1950, Betty was employed at AC Spark Plug in Flint until 1953 when she entered U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955.  She was employed by Flint Osteopathic Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years.  She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Birch Run and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She enjoyed crocheting, painting and Bingo.

Surviving are three children, Steven O’Brien, Jeffrey (Linda) O’Brien, Deborah O’Brien; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Gary (Kim) Smith; and brother-in-law, Howard Palmer.

She was preceded in death by her step-father, Steven Smith; a son, Terry O’Brien; and a sister, Evelyn Drahiem Palmer.

A Celebration of Life for Betty Ann Lopez will take place this summer July 21, 2018 at the home of her daughter, Deborah O’Brien 6395 S. Vassar Rd. Vassar, Michigan.
