Clarence M. Wazny, age 89 of Saginaw, passed away February 24, 2018 at Covenant Healthcare Cooper. The son of the late Michael and Florence Wazny, Clarence was born June 25, 1928 in Saginaw. He served with the United States Air Force From 1951 to 1954. Mr. Wazny married the former Marcia Baase on May 10, 1952 in Saginaw and she preceded him in death on April 12, 2001. He owned and operated Wazny Standard Service Station in Saginaw for 10 years. He was later employed as a machinist by K & C Engineering prior to his retirement. Mr. Wazny was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, The Knights of Columbus Council #4232, and the V.F. W. Post 1566. He also enjoyed woodworking and puzzles.
Surviving are 10 children, Patricia (Ron) Hamp, Michael Wazny, Clarence A. Wazny, Carole Furlo, Tim Wazny, Laura (Dan) Panko, Harold (Brenda) Wazny, Joani Wazny, Mary (Tom) Schwettmann, and Teresa (Matt) Tetloff; 24 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Jerry (Rita) Wazny and Ken (Kay) Wazny; 2 sisters, Shirley (Martin) Knowlton and Delphine Truckle; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Rusty Furlo and a sister, Louise Pohlman.
Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Good Shepherd Catholic Parish, St Andrew Church site on N. Michigan Ave. with Rev. Fr. Ronald Wagner officiating. Entombment will follow at
St. Andrew Cemetery Mausoleum. Full Military Honors will be accorded by V.F.W. Post 1566. Friends may visit with the family at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave. on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. The Knights of Columbus Council will recite the rosary 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
