David C. Francis

David C. Francis, age 53 of Merrill, MI passed away unexpectedly April 22, 2019 in Hemlock.  The son of the late Kenneth and Charlene (Campbell) Francis, David was born September 17, 1965 in Saginaw where he grew up until his parents later moved to Hemlock.  He was a 1983 graduate of Hemlock High School.  He married the former Nancy S. Beck on October 17, 1987 in Saginaw and they made their home in Merrill.  David later attended Northwood University where he received a bachelor’s degree.  David was a licensed real estate appraiser and was employed by GreenStone Farm Services at the time of his death.  Previously he was employed by Wardin Dairy Farm in Hemlock.  Mr. Francis enjoyed working with horses, raising hogs, building stock cars for racing, golfing and hunting with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy; 4 children, Jennifer (Brent) Reil, Emily Francis, Stephanie Francis, and Andrew Francis; 2 grandchildren, Brantley and Colton Reil; 2 brothers, Charles Francis and Kenneth (Michelle) Francis; and 3 sisters, Kathy (Walter) Hildebrant, Connie (David) Brandel, and Mary (Robert) Eckel.

A Memorial Service will take place 6:00 p.m. Friday at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave. in Saginaw with Pastor Rob Schmidt officiating.  Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service.
