Edward R. Miles

Edward R. Miles, age 84 of Saginaw passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Covenant Healthcare Cooper.  The son of the late Charles and Lucille Miles, Edward was born November 21, 1934 in Twining, Michigan.  He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.  Edward married the former Janet L. Weeden on July 14, 1956 in Angola, Indiana.  She preceded him on death on May 27, 2016.

Mr. Miles was employed as a truck driver for Central Warehouse hauling U.S. Mail prior to his retirement in 2000.

He is survived by 5 children, Edward M. Miles, Ralph Miles, Brian (Christina) Miles, William (Yolanda) Miles, Kimberly (Mark) Smith; 7 grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Dorothy Strudgeon and Evelyna Chinevere.

He was preceded in death by his wife Janet; 2 infant daughters, Jodie Lynn Miles and Kathy Marie Miles; 2 brothers and 1 sister, Richard and Ernest Miles and Doris McInnerney.

Funeral Service will take place 1:00 p.m. Monday at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave in Saginaw with Brian Miles officiating.  Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with full military honors.

Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
