Jesse M. Orosco, age 88 of Saginaw passed away August 29, 2018 after an extended illness. Jesse was born January 25, 1930 in Floresville, Texas. Following high school, he served as corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Jesse moved to Saginaw in 1940 from Texas and was employed by General Motors for 35 years prior to retirement. Jesse was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, served as a Lay Minister, and past chairman of the Christian Service Commission. He was a board member of Saginaw’s East Side Soup Kitchen and volunteered at St. Rita’s Children’s Christmas Store. He also served on the cemetery advisory board for the Saginaw Diocese, and ministered to the sick at Saginaw General Hospital for many years. His daughter, Karen Orosco preceded him in death in 2006.

Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 5th at St. Andrew Catholic Church of Christ The Good Shepherd Parish on N. Michigan Ave. with Fr. Ronald Wagner officiating. Interment will follow at St. Andrew Cemetery with Full Military Honors accorded by V.F.W. Post 1566. Friends may visit at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave. in Saginaw on Tuesday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Service.
