Alicia Duval, age 54 of Saginaw passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019 at home. The former Alicia Cantu was born May 19, 1965 in Saginaw. She married Daniel A. Duval on September 30, 2000.
Alicia thoroughly enjoyed her employment at Morley Brothers and all the wonderful co-workers there. She loved taking care of her grandchildren.
Alicia is survived by her husband, Daniel Duval; 3 children, Raquel Cortez, Lorenzo Cortez, and Ciara Ortiz; 3 step-Children, Regina Duval, Elena Duval, and Carmen Duval-Pratt; her mother, Maria Cantu; 5 grandchildren, Luciano, Aaliyah, Aarianna, Monterio, and Cain; 5 siblings, Benito (Sylvia) Cantu, Lou Cantu, Aurora Barron, Ignacio (Kim) Cantu III, and Marta (Chris) Sanchez; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ignacio Cantu II; a sister, Juanita Renteria, a brother, Javier BB Cantu, and a nephew, Benito Ignacio Cantu.
Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave in Saginaw with Father Joseph Schabel officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 until time of service.
