Loving Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, joined her Savior on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at home at the age of 95. Daughter of the late Cruz Martinez Samaniego and Fernando Samaniego Sr., Amparo was born October 24, 1925 in Dallas, Texas. She married Julio Gonzales Sr. Amparo was employed at Casa del Rey Restaurant; she was in the Saginaw News for her great cooking skills. She was an active member of Harvest Assembly of God Church, and the Women Ministries known as a Prayer Warrior.
Amparo, enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, reading the Bible, attending church, and tending her garden.
Amparo came from a large family of 11 siblings, Frances (Daniel) Hernandez, Mary (Ishmael) Gutierriz, Fernando Samaniego, Jessie Samaniego, Juan Samaniego, Sequana (Geranimo) Flores, Laurie (Raymond) Dzuba, Delores Ramirez, Rosie Valdez. Nieces and Nephews who are all loved and remembered.
Amparo had 13 children, Maria Salinas, Guadalupe Cruz, Jose Gonzales, Julio (Jean) Gonzales Jr, Frances (Johnny) Allen, Franc Gonzales, Carol (Richard) Gatica, George Gonzales, Conchita (Julian) Mendez, Cruz (Rick) Lotz, Theresa (Gary) Gonzales, Angelita Gonzales, Anthony (Cathy Gonzales. She is also survived by 44 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Amparo was preceded in death by children Jose Gonzalez, Conchita Mendes, and Anthony S. Gonzales, grandsons Randy Junior Gonzales and Gabriel Gonzales, great-grandchildren, Kemontez Ramon Bryant, and Makayla Rose Gonzales.
Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday May 24, 2021 at Harvest Assembly of God, 625 S. 17th St. Saginaw, Michigan. Burial will take place at Mount Olivet Cemetery following service.
