Avery L. Gill

Avery L. Gill, age 82 of Birch Run passed away Monday, February 3, 2020 at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw.  The son of the late Avery J. and Alberta (McTaggart) Gill, Avery was born August 26, 1937 in Caro, Michigan.  He was a graduate of Vassar High School and married Janet George on February 15, 1957 in Gilford, Michigan.

Avery was employed in skilled trades by General Motors until his retirement in 2002.  He was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed hunting and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife Janet; children, Terry Gill, Timothy (Kimberly) Gill and Kellie (David) Lieber; grandchildren, Eric, Raymond and Elisha Gill, and David (Andrea) Lieber, Isaiah and Jessica Lieber; great-grandchildren, Emmett Lieber and Henry Gill; and half-sister, Donna Clinesmith.

Memorial Service will take place at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2020 at St. John Episcopal Church located at 5811 Forest Avenue in Otter Lake, Michigan.  Friends may visit with the family at the church on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m.  Interment will take place in the spring at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
