Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend fell asleep in death December 6, 2016 at Hoyt

Nursing & Rehab Center with her family at her side.   The daughter of the late J.A. and Glenna (Simkins) Risdon, Barbara was born February 29, 1932 in Saginaw.  She was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School and she married James Csiki on May 12, 1951 in Saginaw.  He preceded her in death on March 10, 2007. 

Barbara dedicated her life to Jehovah God at the age of eight.  She was baptized in Detroit, Michigan in August of 1940. Barbara loved her family and was a wonderful wife, mom, and grandmother.  She loved to give hugs to people she knew.  She and her husband, James were actively involved in teaching others about the good news of God’s Kingdom and shared in the building of many Kingdom Halls throughout the State of Michigan.

Surviving are 5 children, Bethany Csiki, Tamara (Arturo) Jimenez, Heidi (David) Erkfritz, James (Anne)

Csiki, and Rachel Valdiserri and husband Rick; 12 grandchildren, Jacob, Caleb, Jael, Andrew, Brittany, Stefhen, Dominic, Jonah, Noah, Laban, Lily, and Miriam; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Alice Appenzeller.

She was preceded in death by her dearest friend, Elnora O’Bard.

Memorial Service will take place 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 6025 Shattuck Road in Saginaw Township with Mr. Arthur Fitzpatrick serving as the officiant.
