Barbara Jean Mayer, age 76, passed away May 7, 2025, at home after a brief illness. The daughter of the late Otto and Sagie Wise, Barbara was born July 24, 1948, in Saginaw. She was a 1967 graduate of Arthur Hill High School. She was married to Daniel Mayer, and he preceded her in death on November 27, 2015.

Barbara was of the Methodist faith. She operated a day care center from her home for many years. She enjoyed shopping and caring for her pet dogs.

Surviving are her daughter, Michelle (Brian) Easterling, a stepson, Billy (Linda) Mayer, 4 grandchildren, Lindsay Easterling, Madison (William) Storm, Emily Underwood, and Jeremy Mayer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel, a daughter Valerie Underwood, and her stepdad Gale Miller.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
