Bonnie J. Bismark Leiner, age 79 of Saginaw passed away May 1, 2025, at Healthsource Saginaw. Daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy (Hinz) Bismark, Bonnie was born September 30, 1945, in Saginaw. She was a 1963 graduate of Arthur Hill High School. She was married to Larry F. Leiner on November 14, 1964. During her working career she was employed as a Domestic Professional, operated a Head start Day Care Center for 9 years, and also had employment with Eaton Manufacturing, Dawn Doughnuts, Cunningham Drug Store, Super 8 Motel, and Leath Furniture Company. Bonnie was a life member of Faith EV Lutheran Church in Saginaw, and was a Christian Educator and Sunday School Teacher there. She also was a Cub Scout Den Leader and served as Treasurer and was co-founder and past president of the Covenant Neighborhood Association and also the Neighborhood Association Action Group.
She is survived by a son Richard (Nadine) Leiner, a daughter, Michelle (David) LaFreniere, 4 grandchildren, Robert (Rachel Elliott) Leiner, Allison (Jerry) Landskroener, Jade (Tristian) Walker, and Blake Leiner, 5 great-grandchildren, Alexis Wiercinski, McKinley Walker, Robert Leiner Jr., Grayson Walker, and Sawyer Walker.
Bonnie was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Melissa Ann Leiner.
Cremation has taken place, and private interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Saginaw next to her daughter.
