Brian E. McCloskey, age 62 of Saginaw passed away suddenly on Tuesday September 1, 2020 at home.  The son of the late Laverne and Joan McCloskey, Brian was born March 31, 1958 in Fremont, Michigan.

He moved to Saginaw as a child with his parents.

 He married the former Shelly Stedry on February 4, 1978 in Saginaw.  Brian was employed as a fabrication welder with Stone Transport Co. in Saginaw.  He enjoyed camping, tinkering on different projects, and helping family.

Surviving are his wife Shelly; 3 children, Tracy McCloskey, Brian McCloskey II, and Sarah McCloskey; 3 grandchildren, Gabby McCloskey, Gage McCloskey, and Emma Hernandez; siblings, Dan (Annette) McCloskey and Sandra (Ben) Snow; a special cousin, Dan Killingsworth; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Tom, Frank, and Paul McCloskey.

Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Cederberg- Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Av in Saginaw with Pastor Bill Bodnar officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
