Candelaria Osuna, age 85 of Saginaw passed away Friday November 14, 2025, at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw. The daughter of the late Francisco and Manuela Ornelas, Candelaria was born January 2, 1940, on Robstown, Texas and moved to Saginaw as a child with her family. She was married to Julio John Osuna on March 25, 1961, in Bridgeport, Michigan, he preceded her in death on April 5, 1972.

Mrs. Osuna did Housekeeping at local Hotels and was a Caregiver and Retail Clerk prior to her retirement. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, reading books, feeding birds and birdwatching.

Surviving is her son, Jason (Michelle) Avitia, grandchildren, Hector Avitia, Melina Cavazos, and Santiago Cavazos, her siblings, Josephine Ornelas, Isabel Gonzales, Eva Ornelas, Frank Ornelas, and Joe Ornelas, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Julio John Osuna, and 2 children, Genny Dorsch and John Osuna.

Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 22nd at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave. in Saginaw, with Fr Patrick O’Connor officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home from 12:00 noon on Saturday until time of Service at 2:00 p.m.
