Carlos Cena Jr., age 5 of Saginaw passed away September 19, 2022, at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital.

Carlos was born June 25, 2017, in Lansing, Michigan. Carlos lived in Saginaw and was cared for by his grandfather, Ruben Rivera and by his grand “mother” Sarah Coggeshall.

He is survived by his grandparents, Ruben, and Sarah; 4 sisters, Carla, Carissa, Cara, and Myra, and many aunts and uncles.

The family would like to thank all who touched Carlo’s life and made it better. Special thanks to April Carroll and Steve Padilla who cared for our little angel, to the staff at Millet Learning Center including Justine Zatkovic, Mrs. Dawn Granberry and Jill Eustace, and also thanking U of M Hospital’s Game Changers Therapy Program with help from Kristin, Samantha, Adam, and Kara. Also, surviving is his father, Carlos Cena Sr. and his mother, C. Lopez, and grandmother, Sylvia Veloz.

Funeral Service will take place 7:00 p.m. Wednesday September 28th at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave. in Saginaw with Pastors Adolfo and Erlinda Martinez officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:00 p.m.
