Claude E. Childress Jr., age 52 of Rhodes, Michigan died unexpectedly July 8, 2020 at home.

He was born to the late Claude and Alice (Priest) Childress on September 5, 1967 in Midland, Michigan.  Following high school graduation, he served with the U.S. Army. Following his discharge, he was employed in construction here in Mid-Michigan prior to his death.

He is survived by his daughter Sabbrena Schmitt of Cedar Lake, and his grandchildren Kaitlynn Schmitt and Bryce Schmitt and his sister, Bonnie Wendt.

Cremation has taken place and services are pending at this time.
