Cleve Varney, age 67 of Saginaw passed away June 22, 2020 at Covenant Healthcare Cooper following an extended illness.  Son of the late Hi and Lillian Varney, Cleve was born March 13, 1953 in Saginaw.  He married Felicitas Vargas and was employed in the packaging department at Vargas Bakery until ill health forced him to retire.

Cleve enjoyed tossing, fishing, and playing horseshoes.

Surviving are his wife, Felicitas; 4 children, Jovita (Johnny) Arroyo, Angela (Drew) Vargas, Sophia (John) Deberry, Lisa (Jordan) Vargas, Alma Diaz and Keosha Barney; 19 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Charles (Kerry) Varney; 3 sisters, Emily (Henry) Olivarez, Dolly (Joe Dingman) Varney, and JoAnn Varney; and many special nieces and nephews and close friends also survive.

Visitation for Mr. Varney will be Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave. in Saginaw.  Visitation hours on Saturday will be from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
