Danny L. McCloskey Jr. age 52 of Saginaw passed away August 17, 2026, at the Medi lodge of Grand Blanc, Michigan following an extended illness. Danny was born January 22, 1974, at the Pink Palace Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii, and moved to Saginaw with his parents in 1975. He attended Arthur Hill High School. Danny was known as a “Jack of all trades” but worked primarily as an Assistant Manager at the Firestone Tire Co. in Saginaw and later as a driver for Holt Transportation.

Danny enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and University of Michigan games. He loved the outdoors and liked nature walks, Hiking, bike riding, and spending time with his children and grandchild.

He is survived by 4 children, Daniella McCloskey, Danny (Sierrah) McCloskey III, Aydan McCloskey, and Adeanna McCloskey, 1 grandchild Laileigh Atkins, his parents Danny and Annette McCloskey, 2 siblings, Donny (Desiree) McCloskey, Annette (Ryan)Johnson, and 3 nieces, Mariah, Lily, and Madison McCloskey.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Dannette McCloskey.

Memorial Service will take place at 3:00 p.m. Thursday August 20, 2026, at Cederberg Brietzke Funeral Home of Saginaw, 403 N. Michigan Ave. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m.

The family invites friends to wear Detroit Tigers or University of Michigan sports attire while attending the service.
