Edward Lopez of Saginaw passed away at MyMichigan Saginaw on April 22, 2025, after an extended illness at the age of 77 years. Edward was born on January 28, 1948, in Saginaw to Luis Ramirez Lopez and Celida DeLeon. He was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School and attended 2 years of college to obtain his journeyman degree. He was married to Marsha Roseberry on November 13, 1971, and she survives him. Edward was employed at General Motors as a Journeyman before his retirement in 2000. He was a devout Jehovah's Witness. Edward loved listening to music, lifting weights, and boxing. His favorite flowers were red roses.
Surviving are his wife Marsha, one son Edward Lopez Jr., and one daughter Cari Irene Lopez, 3 siblings, Renee Aloyo, Julita Ellis, and Edward James Flores, his grandchildren, Alina Lopez, Eddie Lopez, Adiana Lopez, Luis Lopez, Adela Lopez, Carlos Lopez, and Marissa Vargas and 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers Victor “Elliot” Aloyo, Tom Flores, Herman Aloyo and Michael Earl Crews, and 2 sisters, Bonnie Flores and Cindy Flores-Hyder.
Per Edward’s wishes cremation has taken place, a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
