Elsie M. Grossman

Elsie M. Grossman of Saginaw passed away March 27, 2020 at Covenant Cooper Medical Center at the age of 101 years.   She was born November 4, 1918 to Frederick and Katherine (Krause) Luedtke in Saginaw. She was married to Junior A. Grossman on December 1, 1945, he preceded her in death on July 18, 2000.  Elsie was employed at Lufkin Rule prior to her retirement, she was a member of Zion Lutheran Church on Hancock Street. Elsie enjoyed playing cards, gardening, jig-saw puzzles, word search puzzles, and taking care of her dogs. She also loved volunteering at the Saginaw Metro Ministries up to her 101st birthday.

She is survived by 2 granddaughters; Angela (Dewey) Burke of Saginaw, and Elizabeth (Leisa) Shepard-Lassard of E. Lansing, great granddaughter; Anisa Brandt, 1 brother; Robert (Darlene) Luedtke of North Carolina.

She was preceded by her daughter; Connie Montgomery in 2005.

Funeral Service will take place at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave. Saginaw, on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Susan Hand officiating. Visitation will take place at the funeral home 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Private committal will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
