Estella Garcia Obituary

Estella M Garcia passed away April 9th, 2025, in Edmond Oklahoma at the age of 79 years. She was the daughter of the late Julian and Rebecca Garcia. Estella was born in Saginaw, MI on November 27th, 1945.  She moved to Oklahoma in the early 1980’s and worked exceptionally hard to raise her three children.  Estella was kind, compassionate, and always enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She loved to play games of any kind, occasionally going to a casino or two, and making beautiful things with embroidery and crocheting.

In 2008, Estella moved to Seattle to live with her youngest daughter and son-in-law to help with their 3-year-old and newborn child, Estella’s granddaughters.  Estella was very happy to have the opportunity to take care of her granddaughters and enjoy her retirement.  She continued to help and support the family through their military moves.  The family moved from Seattle to Germany and enjoyed traveling most of western Europe, traveling to over 15 different countries during their time there. From there they moved to Tucson, then finally back to the Oklahoma City area. Estella made many friends through the military, and the families have expressed their condolences and support.  She was thoughtful to others and always willing to help with their children, even when they were furry and 4 legged.

Estella is survived by her brother and sister, Julian Garcia Jr. (Esther), and Julia Garcia both of Michigan, her three children, Yolanda Estrada of Mexico, Augustine Cooper (Marjorie) of Virginia, and Maria Jackson (Dean) of Oklahoma, her nephews and niece, Julian Garcia III, Micheal Garcia (Sandra) Amy Ash (Joe), her grandchildren, Juan Diego Ramirez, Susana De Velazquez (Ricardo), Chantel Dietz (Callan), Talia Ramirez, DaRon Cooper, TraVion Cooper, Isabella Jackson and Andrea Jackson, and her 7 great grandchildren,  Yadhira, Iliana, Elena, Ki’ree, Corrie, Ciklaly, and Colbie.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Julian and Rebecca Garcia and her brother, Juan Diego Garcia.
