Gloria Gomez Frappart, age 67 of Saginaw passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020 at home following and extended illness.  Daughter of the late Carmen and Josefa (Gonzalez) Gomez, Gloria was born February 19, 1953 in Saginaw.  She was a graduate of Carrollton High School. Gloria married Joseph P. Frappart III on January 2, 1998 in Saginaw.  She was employed by General Motors for 30 years and retired in 2006.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Gloria enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, painting ceramics, and collecting butterflies.

Surviving are her husband Joe; 5 children, Heriberto (Christina) Rivera, Mary Toni (Phillip Orozco) Rivera, Peter Rivera and his fiancee Mary, Tomas Mata, and Andria Eva (Michael) Childs; 2 step-children, Alicia (Eli) Adams and Derek (May) Frappart; 23 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 5 brothers, Alfredo (Rose) Gomez, Carmen Gomez Jr., Jose Gomez, Oscar (Janie) Gomez and Herman (Mary Soyla) Gomez; and many nieces and nephews.

Gloria was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 2 sisters, Apolinar, Albert, Antonio, Heriberto, and Modesto Gomez, Eva Gomez and her sister Julia Gomez who died as an infant.

Funeral Service will take place 4:00 p.m. Thursday at Cederberg Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave. in Saginaw with Rev. Fr. Frank Voris officiating.  Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m.
