Gregory Webb MacKenzie passed away Sunday April 13, 2025, at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw. The son of the late Grant and Ruby (Davidson) Mackenzie, Greg was Born December 8, 1948, in Pittsburg, Kansas. Greg grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan and after 2 years of college at Western Michigan University he joined the U. S. Army and served 2 years in the Military, then returned to W.M.U. and earned his degree in 1974. Greg returned to service with the Army and was given an Honorable Discharge in 1979.
He was married to Sharlene Boggs on April 7, 1986, in San Antonio, Texas. Greg was employed as a Coordinator by Roadway Trucking Co. in Texas and California until his retirement and then moved to the Flint area in 2019.
Greg enjoyed Boxing and attended the Kalamazoo Boxing Academy and at one time trained with Floyd Mayweather Sr. He also like jogging and watching sports on Television.
Greg is survived by his wife, Sharlene MacKenzie, 4 children, 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 1 sister.
Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will take place on May 24, 2025 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
