Jesse J. Sanchez, age 79 of Saginaw passed away September 8, 2021, at home after an extended illness.  Son of the late Pedro and Petra (Flores) Sanchez, Jesse was born January 13, 1942, in Thomaston Texas and later moved to Saginaw with his family.  He was a graduate of Arthur Hill Tech School. He was employed by General Motors as a Millwright at the Grey Iron Foundry for 25 years prior to his retirement.  He was member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.  Jesse was mechanically inclined and enjoyed fixing and repairing Automobiles, welding, and building things.

He married the former Herlinda Gonzalez on February 24, 2013.

Surviving is his wife, Herlinda; 2 children, Jesus Sanchez, and Debra Sanchez; 2 stepchildren, Adam Gonzalez, and Cynthia Villareal; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and 3 siblings, Angilita Zarrata, David (Barbara) Sanchez, and Teresa (Randy) Rivera-Beach; and many nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his son Robert Sanchez, 2 siblings, Pete Sanchez and Lilly Mendez, his mother-in-law, Victoriana Gonzalez; and 2 brothers-in-law, Miguel, and Eddie Gonzalez.

Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis of Assisi Parish (St Anthony of Padua Church) in Saginaw with Father Alberto Vargas officiating.  Friends may visit with the family at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave. in Saginaw on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment will take place in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
