John C. Flores Jr., age 71 of Saginaw passed away August 29, 2023, at home. Son of the late John Flores Sr. and Ruth Ferrer, John was born November 16, 1951, in Saginaw. He was a 1970 graduate of Saginaw High School. He married the former Gloria Urivez on January 5, 1979, in Saginaw. John was employed by General Motors at the Grey Iron Foundry for 46 years and retired in 2006.

He was longtime member of St. George Catholic Church.

Surviving are his wife, Gloria, 2 children, Melissa (Craig) Garcia, and Johns C. (Riki) Flores III, 8 grandchildren, 4 siblings, David Perez, Irene Mosqueda, Helen Flores, and Olivia (Jesse) Flores, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Ramona Flores and by a brother Michael Perez.

Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption, 615 Hoyt Ave, Saginaw, Mi with Rev. Adam Maher officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the Cederberg Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave in Saginaw on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m., visitation continues at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.
