John Richard Sage of Carrollton Township passed away suddenly on Monday June 22, 2026, at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw at the age of 34 years. John was born on September 26,1991 in Saginaw and was a 2009 graduate of Carrollton High School. He married Alexandra “Lexie” Divo on July 13, 2025, in Carrollton. John was the owner and operator of Sage Concrete Construction Company.

John enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brother Jared and camping with his son Ryder. He loved spending time with his family and children along with woodworking and music and riding his motorcycle. John was a dedicated husband and father.

Surviving are his wife Lexie, 4 children, Ryder, Luca, River, and John Jr., his mother Ann (Doug) Younk, his father Mark (Jenny) Sage, a brother, Jared Sage & Olivia and their children, Sequoia, and Silas, his mother and father-in-law Steve and Sheila Boensch and Scott Divo, a special cousin, like a sister Emily Laski and many special aunts, uncles,cousins and friends also survive.

John’s Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 30th at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave. in Saginaw. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
