John “Bill” Ebmeyer

John Wm. Ebmeyer, of Frankenmuth, passed away, peacefully, on Monday, March 4th, 2024.  Age 91 years, John was born October 1st, 1932 in Chicago, IL.  He married Victoria Meyeley, she preceded him in 2014.  After retiring, in 1989, they moved to Green Valley, AZ where they resided for 23 years before moving back to Frankenmuth.  John graduated from Michigan State University, after college he was enlisted in the United States Army.  He then had a 31-year career with The Michigan Department of Transportation, in the real estate relocation department.  John was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.

John was a loving husband and father.  He had a great personality and some knowledge to share with everyone.   He enjoyed clock making, building furniture and photography.

John leaves to cherish his memories, a son, Robert (Leah) Ebmeyer, Frankenmuth and a daughter, Linda Willis, Oklahoma City, OK and several grandchildren.  A brother, James (Joyce) Ebmeyer, Penfield, NY.  A son, Charles, and a grandson preceded him.

Per John’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place on Monday, April 1st, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan.  John’s family will receive visitors at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Committal will take place in the church cemetery on April 1st.
