Joseph R. Tolfree, age 66 of Saginaw passed away April 20, 2021 at Covenant Healthcare after a brief illness.  The son of the late Joseph and Bsma Tolfree, Joseph was born August 1, 1954 in Saginaw.  He married the former Patricia A. Munro on September 15, 1973 in Saginaw. Joseph was employed by Owens Contracting of Saginaw for over 20 years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed woodworking, cooking, puzzles, and watching Soap Operas on TV.

Surviving is his wife, Patricia; 2 children, Carrie (Rob) Grubaugh, and Joseph R. Tolfree Jr., 3 grandchildren, Dylan (Shannon) Howey, Kaytlyn Grubaugh, and Kali Tolfree; 3 great grandchildren, Ethan, Renley, and Koda; 6 siblings, Janet (Joe) Elisech, Jerry (Eleanor) Tolfree, Jimmy (Veronica) Tolfree, John (Val) Tolfree, Jeff (Melanie) Tolfree and Judy Tolfree.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Jeannie Chaltraw.

Memorial Service will take place 12:00 noon on Friday April 30, 2021 at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave. in Saginaw with Rev. Clarence Lamblin officiating.  Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 10.00 a.m. until time of service.

We will adhere to protocol, face mask, and safe distancing due to Covid-19.
