Lola L. Aguilar, age 85 of Reese, Michigan passed away August 19, 2026, at home.

Daughter of the late Vern and Mathilda Hayes, Lola was born July 17, 1941, in Saginaw. She married Lorenzo M. Aguilar in 1988 in Saginaw, and he preceded her in death on November 18, 2023. Lola was employed in the construction industry including construction of the Zilwaukee Bridge and was a member of the Laborers Local 1191. Earlier in life she was a caregiver, and also was a farm laborer helping harvest potatoes and pickles from area farms for processing. During the winter months Lola would go to Texas and work at the oil refineries until springtime weather returned to Michigan.

Lola is survived by 8 children, Dorlyn Sandoval, Jose Sandoval, Matt (Liz) Sandoval, Mark Sandoval, Lola Zaragoza, Lupe (Bryan Sprague) Zaragoza, Patty (Rey) Chingman, and Ismael Zaragoza, 7 stepchildren, Louie (Jeanne) Aguilar, Rita Yon, Rose (Joseph II) Lary, Lorenzo (Theresa) Aguilar Jr., Dolores Gillham, Peter Aguilar, and Elisa Okkonen, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded by 2 daughters Roseann Zapata and Teresa Oceguar, 1 stepson Anthony Aguilar.

Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday August 28, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Saginaw with Rev. Fr. Frank Voris officiating. Friends may visit with the family at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home of Saginaw, 403 N. Michigan Avenue on Thursday August 27th from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.

On Thursday 6:00 p.m. Deacon Larry will lead a vigil service at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Vassar next to her husband Lorenzo
