Lorenzo M. Aguilar, age 93 of Reese, Mi passed away November 18, 2023, at home. Son of the late Mercedes and Suzanna Aguilar. Lorenzo was born March 18, 1930, in Del Rio, Texas and moved to Saginaw in 1946. He was married to Rosa Garcia, and she preceded him in death. He later married the former Lola Hayes in Saginaw in 1988 and she survives him. Lorenzo was employed by General Motors at the Malleable Iron Plant and retired in 1988 after 41 years of service. Lorenzo was of the Catholic Faith, and he enjoyed walking, bowling, hunting, and fishing.

He is survived by his wife Lola, 8 children, Louie (Jeanne) Aquilar, Rita Yon, Rose (Joseph II) Lary, Lorenzo (Theresa) Aquilar Jr., Dolores Gillham, Anthony (Diane) Aguilar, Peter Aguilar, Elisa Okkonen, 8 stepchildren Dorlyn Sandoval, Jose Sandoval, Matt (Liz) Sandoval, Mark Sandoval, Lola Zaragoza, Lupe Zaragoza, Patty (Rey) Chingman, and Ismail Zaragoza, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by 2 children, Samuel Aquilar and Mercedes Aguilar, and 2 stepchildren, Roseanna Zapata, and Teresa Oceguera.

Visitation for family and friends will take place Tuesday, November 21st at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave, in Saginaw from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday November 29th, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Saginaw with Rev. Fr. Frank Voris officiating. Visitation at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday November 29, 2023. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Vassar, Michigan
