Louis R. Medina, age 78 of Saginaw passed away July 30, 2023, at St. Francis Home of Saginaw.  The son of the late Albert and Angeline Medina. Louis was born July 8. 1945, in North Platte, Nebraska. He married Rosemary James on February 2, 1986, in Bay City and she preceded him in death in 1991.

Louis was employed by General Motors for 30 years and retired from Saginaw Steering Gear in 2003. He enjoyed listening to Mexican music, Shopping, going for walks, and taking his grandchildren out to eat.

Surviving are 5 children, Michelle Medina, Rita Medina, Louie Medina, Diana Medina, and Amanda Medina, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 4 brothers, Jody, Johnny, Rudy, and Phillip Medina, and 1 sister Mary Medina.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Medina, and a sister Lola Luna.

Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 3rd at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave in Saginaw. Rev Charles Campbell will officiate. Interment at the Saganing Indian Burial Ground in Standish.  Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.
