Lucille Wieland of Saginaw, Michigan passed away Friday March 10, 2017 at the home of her daughter in Battle Creek at the age of 90 years. The former Lucille J. Eckstorm was born May 6, 1926 in Saginaw.  She married Frederick G. Wieland Sr. 1944 in Saginaw. He preceded her in death in 1982

She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles, baking, watching the Detroit Tigers baseball games and helping out with her grandchildren.

Surviving are a son and daughter, David H. (Mary) Wieland and Joann (Dan) Squires; 7 grandchildren, Deanna Sny, Daniel Wieland, Mike (Leann) Willetts, Kellie (Jim) Benit, David (Jamie) Wieland, Joshua Wieland, and Joel Wieland; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and 1 sister, Joan Eckstorm.

She was preceded in death by a son, Frederick G. Wieland Jr. in 2016.

Memorial Service will take place on Saturday March 18th, at 4:00 P.M. at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home 403 N. Michigan Ave, Saginaw with Pastor James Krueger officiating.  Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Cancer Society.
