Lydia Lopez Obituary

Lydia Lopez of Saginaw went to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday April 12, 2020 at Covenant Cooper Medical Center at the age of 63 years. Lydia was born June 18, 1956 in Saginaw to Amado and Leandra (Zuniga) Zapata. She married Juan Lopez in Saginaw on April 21, 1990 and he survives her. Lydia worked at Jacobson’s for 11 years, and Samaritas for 19 years. Lydia was a hardworking, loyal, loving friend, sister, aunt, wife and mother who was willing to do anything for anyone if they needed her. She enjoyed spending summer nights sitting on her porch, listening to her favorite Mexican bands, ask anyone and they would say she made the best Mexican food. Her favorite thing in the world was spending time with her daughter, the two were inseparable.

She is survived by her husband Juan; her daughter, Priscilla Zapata; 1 sister, Gloria (Ricardo) Delgado; 1 brother, Samuel Zapata; 3 nephews, and 2 nieces.

Due to COVID-19 Virus a private Memorial Service will be held at a later time.
