Manuel Ortiz III

Manuel Ortiz III, age 42, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on March 16, 2020 at University Hospital in Ann Arbor.  Manuel was born November 8, 1977 in Saginaw.  He attended Bridgeport High School, and Flint Barber College.  He was employed by Gentex Corporation in Holland prior to his recent illness.  Manuel attended New Beginnings Ministries and enjoyed barbering.

He is survived by his daughter, Marissa Mejia and her mother, Melonie Mejia; 2 grandchildren, Nayati & Yona Hendrickson-Mejia; his father Manuel Ortiz; siblings, Esperanza Gomez, Leticia (Raymond Rivera) Gomez, Velia (Yolanda Perez) Gomez, Martin Ortiz, Jose Ortiz, and Casey Gomez; 12 nieces and nephews; 7 great-nieces and nephews; and good friends, Nick Delgado, Justin Clapp and Allen Ostrander.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria F. Ortiz in 2019 and 1 brother, David Anthony Gomez.

Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave with Pastor Augustine Delgado officiating. Interment will take place at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Friends May visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.
