Escareño, Mariano
Saginaw, Michigan
Our beloved Mariano, age 24, was welcomed home into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father, alongside his beautiful tia Laura and primo Rafael, on Sunday June 5th, 2022. The Lord graciously blessed us with his presence on April 23rd, 1998, born in Saginaw, Michigan to Magdaleno and Veronica Escareño.
Mariano was a rare and precious soul. He always had a peaceful presence and could calm a room in one moment and hype them up the next. Mariano carried a light within that nobody could dim. Until his last days, he brought joy and comfort to his family, friends and all who had the great privilege of knowing him.
Though he found his little sisters annoying at times, he embraced them with deep love. He would often video call his sister Vanessa while he played video games, just to feel her presence with him. They always knew how to put a smile on his face and make him laugh and he took every opportunity to show how much their big brother was there for them.
The smile Mariano had let his family and friends know that everything was going to be okay. It had the power to warm hearts and bring a calming joy. Mariano had such a kind and humble spirit and would always lend a helping hand to anyone who needed support, even when he needed it himself. He loved to learn and grow and found ways to better himself every day. He knew the sacrifices his parents made gave him the opportunities he had and raised him to be the loving, ambitious, diligent, and loyal young man that he grew to be.
Mariano became an exceptional artist who thrived as a drawer, painter, singer and dancer. He had an eye for rare details and utilized his gift of photography to capture beauty in the broken and precious moments in this life. He will always be remembered for his gentle heart, silly jokes, and mexicano dance moves. We will continue to hear his sweet voice sing in our hearts, remember his presence at late night family parties, and video gaming sessions with his dear cousins and close friends.
Although he was taken too soon, his family and friends will continue his legacy of great love, compassion, and generosity. His laugh will stay with us, and the memories will never fade.
He is survived by his parents Magdaleno (Nitos) & Veronica Escareño, little sisters Vanessa and Marissa (Pumpkin), grandparents Manuel & Juana Amelia Buendia, aunt Sandra (Eliberto) Escareño, uncle Mauricio (Gladis) Buendia, and first cousins Lilliana, Mauricio Jr. (Wichito), Aaliyah, Sanelly, and Isaiah (Papas), and miracle baby cousin Rosalina and many great aunts, uncles and second cousins, all who showered him with love until the very end.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Silvestre and Sofia Escareño Venegas, great grandmother Maria Teresa Campos Galindo, and Uncle Abraham Buendia Galindo.
Mariano’s family was his strongest army and will continue to fight to preserve the memories and carry the legacy he left behind. Mariano will forever live in our hearts as we wait to see him again in paradise.
