Matthew W. Venegas

Matthew W. Venegas, age 37 of Saginaw passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 26, 2019 at home.  Matthew was known as “Mateo” and he was born December 4, 1981 in Saginaw.  Mateo was a man of many talents, especially cooking, food preparation and artwork.  He used those talents to open many restaurants throughout Michigan.  He was of the Catholic faith.

Mateo is survived by 1 son, Consintino; 2 daughters, Alexes and Luciana; his mother, Isabell Venegas; his father, Matthew Sandoval; 3 brothers, Fernando Venegas, Juan Venegas; and Ruben Sandoval and his grandmothers, Josephine Carranza and Lola Aguillar.

Funeral Service will take place 4:00 p.m. Monday at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave. in Saginaw with Rev. Fr. Joseph Schabel officiating.  Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home Monday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service.
