Maximiliano Garcia passed away January 16, 2017 at Covenant Healthcare Center at the age of 84 years.  The son of the late Gregory and Maria Garcia, Maximiliano was born October 12, 1932 in LaSara, Texas. He married Olivia Loa on May 29, 1954 in Marlin, Texas.  They moved to Saginaw and Mr. Garcia was employed by General Motors as a Smelter Operator at the Malleable Iron Plant for 33 years prior to his retirement in 1999.  Mr. Garcia enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing pool.  He is survived by his wife, Olivia; 7 children, Cenaida (Steve) Rodriguez, Gregory (Otilia) Garcia, Sylvia Herrera, Mary Lou (Gary) Garcia, Angie (Pedro) Castillo, Gloria (Ricky) LaVario and Diana Garcia; 23 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Janie (Bob) Gray.

He was preceded in death by a grand-daughter, Angelina Castillo.

Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave. in Saginaw.  Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
