Michael James Fischer

Michael J. Fischer, age 72, of Saginaw passed away September 26, 2025, at home following an extended illness. Son of the late Walter and Marguerite Fischer, Michael was born July 7, 1953, in Phoenix, Arizona. Upon moving to Saginaw, he attended Arthur Hill High School and Buena Vista High School. Michael was married to Linda Merrill on December 8, 1972, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Saginaw.
Michael was a Master Plumber and also had a Boiler’s License and Builder’s License. He owned and operated American Pride Plumbing and Heating Company in New Hudson, Michigan for several years prior to his retirement in 2014 at which time he and his wife moved to Las Vegas. They returned to Saginaw in February of 2024.
Michael is survived by his wife, Linda, 2 daughters, Stephanie (David) Annis and Kristie and her husband (Ryan), 3 grandchildren, Mariano Ortiz, Ryan II, and Connor, 2 sisters, Ardis Bauer and Roxanne Overton, a sister-in-law Dixie Boese, and special friend Judy Newcomb.
He was preceded in death by his brother, William Fischer.
Funeral Service will take place 3:00 P.M. Thursday October 2, 2025, at Cederberg Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave. in Saginaw with Reginald Carroll Officiating. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M.
Interment will take place 2:00 P.M. on Friday October 3rd at Boardman Twp. Cemetery in South Boardman, Michigan,
