Penny J. Wheeler, age 81 of Saginaw passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Covenant Healthcare after a brief illness. The daughter of Stanley and Elaine McCray, Penny was born July 4, 1941, in Saginaw.  She was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School. Penny owned Rainbow Sports and Trophies in Saginaw since 1982. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bridgeport and a member and leader of the Black River Riders 4-H Group for many years.

She is survived by her children, Wade Higgins, and Carrie Ann (Jessie Wright) Hall; grandchildren, Jeremy Higgins, and Tricia Higgins; great grandchildren, Thomas Kusterer III, Tabitha Hall, Brooke Lynn Hall, Juelz Higgins, and Jeremy Higgins Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Brian McCray, a sister, Sharon Hensler, and a daughter, Tiffney Higgins.

A Memorial Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Bridgeport, 2400 King Road in Bridgeport. Visitation at the church from 10:00 a.m. August 6th until time of Service at 11:00a.m.
