Phillip Guerrero Obituary

Phillip Mark Guerrero, Age 52, of Petoskey, MI passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 after a battle of health complications. He was born to Juanita (Mosqueda) and Santos Medina on October 3, 1967 in Saginaw, Michigan. He was the son of Jesse Guerrero and Antonia Armola.  Phillip married the love of his life Tamara (Lovay) Guerrero on April 25, 1998. They became inseparable as teenagers and were truly each other's best friend. It was always "Phil and Tam". They created a family of five children: Jessica (Justin) Bradburn, Jazmine (Steven) Hargis, Alec Guerrero (Chrissy Vancise), Phillip Guerrero Jr. (Reannin Henninger), and Phylicia Guerrero. He was Papa to six Grandchildren: Jillian, Kezia, Maverick, Kamora, Josie, and Carson. To say his family meant the world to him would be an understatement, family was everything to him, and he loved them tremendously. In the words of his 7-year-old Granddaughter "He was born to love!"

Phillip touched the lives of many people; he was always the life of the party and had a natural personality to make everyone laugh uncontrollably. He enjoyed music, dancing, and was an amazing cook. His Spanish rice was a favorite and will be missed along with every dish that he prepared with love. He loved his two dogs Mac and Mya and his cat Mayzee.

Along with his wife, children, and grandkids, he is survived by his siblings; Sophia (Gilbert) Gonzales who he shared an unbreakable bond with and an endless amount of cherished memories. Brother's Jesse Guerrero, Pablo Garcia, and sister Lydia Verrett all that he loved deeply. Two nieces; Juanita Guerrero (Alex Hernandez) and Jessica Guerrero. Two Great nephew's; Alex Jr. and Brody. Father-in-law Mark Lovay and Mother-in-law Linda (Dennis) Braeutigan. Brother-in-law's Jayson Durussel, Joshua Lovay, and Justin (Jessica) Lovay. Sister-in-law's Jeanette (Travis) Wood, April Braeutigan and Mandy Braeutigan along with their children and his Goddaughter, Marissa Williams. Also surviving are many Aunt's, Uncles, cousins, and special friends.

Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Guerrero, Antonia Armola, and Juanita (Mosqueda) Medina. Sister-in-law Vanessa Guerrero. Uncle's Jose Mosqueda and Carl Mosqueda.

Our hearts are broken knowing that a huge piece of our puzzle will be missing but we are thankful he is no longer in pain. Baamapii (Until we meet again).

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be announced for a later date.
