Ramiro S. Gonzales, age 61 of Saginaw, passed away December 22, 2025, at home following a one-year illness.

 The son of the late Manuel and Dolores Gonzales, Ramiro was born March 27, 1964, in San Antonio, Texas. He was married to Sylvia Tovar on July 19, 1985, in Texas and they moved to Saginaw in 1988. Ramiro was employed by the City of Saginaw D.P.W. for 25 years and he retired in 2018.

Ramiro was of the Catholic Faith, and he attended St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was handy as an Electrician and helped many families and friends when they had an electrical problem. Ramiro enjoyed playing basketball, camping, fishing, playing golf, and watching movies and sports programs on TV, playing corn hole and going to the Casino.

Surviving are his wife, Sylvia, 4 children, Ramiro (Jessie) Gonzales II, Ruben (Tomasa) Gonzales, Rene Samuel, And Sandra Irene (Alexander) Gonzales, grandchildren, Esperanza, Jazmine, Alicia, Ruben II, and Rebecca, siblings, Henry (Mary) Gonzales, Blanca Saenz, Reynaldo (Bonnie) Gonzales, and Delia Gonzales, in-laws, Lorenzo (Teresa) Tovar, Fidencio (Melanie) Tovar III, and Belinda Hernandez, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jorge “Juan” Gonzales.

Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave. in Saginaw. at 7:00 p.m. Thursday March 12, 2026, Rev Fr. Frank Voris will officiate. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral Home on March 12th from 5:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:00 p.m.
