Raul F. Perez, age 87 passed away April 9, 2021 at Samaritas Senior Living after an extended illness.

Raul was born March 22, 1934 in Edinburg, Texas.  He married the former Dolores Castillo on November 18, 2000. He was employed at General Motors in Saginaw and retired in 1987.  He was a member of UAW Local #593 and the Knights of Columbus. He was member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where he was a volunteer for many years and served on the Cursillista Group and the Caballera De la Virgin of Guadalupe.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores “Dee” Perez; 5 children, Carolyn (Mark) Lofaro, Raul Perez Jr, Kathy Perez, Elida (Tim) Brooks, and Susan Marie Gomez; 5 stepchildren, Eva Rosales, Christina Rosales, Rose Mary Rosales, Danny Rosales, and Robert (Theresa) Rosales; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; very dear friends, Al and Pam Vasquez; and his pet “Boys” Chico, Paco, and Peter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andres and Nicolasa Perez, 2 brothers, Eliodoro, and Ray Perez; 3 sisters, Eva Nieto, Aurora Jimenez, and Candaleria Garza; and dear friend, Rudy Gonzales.

Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday April 23rd at St Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Frank Voris officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.  Friends may visit with the family at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave. in Saginaw on Thursday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m.
