The Reverend James Alan Herbolsheimer, 72, of King George, Virginia passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022, at his home following a 6 ½ year battle with cancer. Son of the late Norbert and Mildred Herbolsheimer, Pastor Jim was born on March 7, 1950, in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Andrea Barna Herbolsheimer on November 25, 1972. Pastor Jim was ordained as a Lutheran Church Missouri Synod Minister on August 6, 1978. He ministered for 34 years serving congregations in Stratford, Ontario Canada, Waupun, Wisconsin, and three Congregations in Cleveland, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, Pastor Jim was preceded in death by his brother Philip Herbolsheimer.
Survivors include his wife Andrea of nearly 50 years; son Christopher; grandchildren Breana, Cameron, and Colton; Sister-In-Law Peggy Herbolsheimer and family of Bay City, MI; Brothers David (Nancy) and family of Reese, MI, and John (Kimberly) of Bay City, MI.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday, November 25th at St. John Amelith Lutheran Church, and School, 1664 Amelith Rd, Bay City, MI 48706, the place where it all began for him. Pastor Jim touched many lives, and the Preacher / Teacher will be dearly missed.
