Robert “Hondo” Jacklin II

Robert B. Jacklin II, age 79 of Saginaw passed away December 15, 2021, at Healthsource Saginaw following an extended illness. Son of the late Robert and Rosalie Jacklin I, Robert was born September 5, 1942, in Saginaw. After his schooling he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served until his honorable discharge in 1961. Robert was employed by General Motors and retired from the Grey Iron Foundry after 44 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the challenge of the Casino.
Surviving are his sons, Raymond (Linda) Jacklin, and Robert (Karen) Jacklin III, 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Richard Jacklin and Roger Jacklin, and by an infant sister.
Funeral Service will take place 12:00 Noon on Thursday, December 23rd, at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave, in Saginaw. Pastor Bill Bodnar will officiate, interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 22, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m.
