Roberto Cavazos, age 75 of Saginaw passed away January 21, 2021 at home after an extended illness.  The son of the late Miguel and Josephine (Torrez) Cavazos, Roberto was born March 5, 1945 in San Antonio, Texas.  He moved to Saginaw in the late 1950’s with his parents and family.  He was employed by General Motors in Saginaw prior to his retirement due to a disability. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are 5 siblings, Fred (Mary) Cavazos, Janie Cavazos, Genevieve (Frank) Vasquez, Mary Rosales, and Reynaldo (Rachel McCaffrey) Cavazos; a dear friend, Debbie Villarreal and her son David; a good friend Jesse Ovalle,and the Gonzales family; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by 2 siblings, Miguel Cavazos Jr., and Josephine Camper.

Funeral Service will take place 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan in Saginaw with Fr. Frank Voris officiating.  Friends may visit with the family at the funeral Home on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.  Memorials can be made to the family.
