Remembering a Life-Well Lived, Ruben Reyes was born in Saginaw, MI on April 18th, 1965. Ruben was called home on June 5th, 2023. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. He will be remembered for the profound love he had for his family, the joy he found in the great outdoors, and the thrill of travel, his passion for cars, and the love and care for his cherished home. Above all, Ruben took the title of "uncle " to heart, embracing the role with commitment and a deep sense of responsibility. Uncle Ruben will always be remembered as the uncle who gave the greatest advice and life lessons. Despite physical challenges, Ruben showed us that disability does not define one's ability to love, inspire and create joy! Ruben was most known for his "chair rides" as he found joy riding up and down the streets with his nieces and nephews down to his great niece and nephews. Not only was he the greatest Uncle but he was also a father figure to many! Ruben had a great sense of humor and brought laughter and smiles anytime he was around. He also taught us not to take life too seriously and enjoy the present time we are here. Ruben loved having get-togethers at his house and spending all the holidays and summer nights with family and friends. Ruben enjoyed reading the bible and growing closer to God every day! Ruben found his spiritual home at Sheridan Road Baptist Church. On behalf of the Reyes family, we would like to thank Ruben Caregivers, Shaima Allayani and a great thank you to Linda Nauta who provided love and care for Ruben for the past 12 years.
We'll always carry with us the cherished memories of our beloved Ruben. Though he has departed from our physical presence, his spirit will forever remain alive in our hearts. Ruben touched our lives with his love, kindness, and the indelible mark he left on our souls. Ruben will forever be remembered as someone who loved fiercely and wholeheartedly.
